Hello, call me maxporter. I’m a deaf queer male in his early 20s.
I have been deaf since birth, and I got a cochlear implant when I was 8 years old. I know ASL, but I was mainstreamed with an oral-manual communication method. I first came out as queer when I was about 14 years old.
In my spare time, I like to watch terribly trashy and hilarious movies with friends, read every single book that exists under the sun, think about social justice and organizing and activism, play with my cat Maya (as in Maya Deren), explore the city or the mountains, groove to a nice beat, take weekend trips, and beat up video game baddies.
